Payment Processing Disclosure

1. For Buyers

• You pay through Stripe Checkout, Stripe's hosted payment page. K12.io never sees or stores your full card number.
• The amount you are charged is the seller's listed price for a one-time purchase. The price shown at checkout is the price charged — it is computed server-side from the listing, never from your browser.
• Charges appear on your statement under K12.io's name — Stripe processes the payment.
• Your agreement to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy at checkout is recorded server-side with each purchase.

2. For Sellers

• Sellers receive payouts through a Stripe connected account, which requires Stripe's identity verification and a bank account.
• K12.io's 30% platform fee is 30% of what the buyer actually pays — if a buyer uses a promotion code, the fee shrinks proportionally along with your share. The remainder is transferred to the seller's connected account.
• Your connected account is subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
• Refunds and chargebacks against your sales are processed through Stripe and may reverse or debit your payouts.

3. Data Shared With Stripe

To process a payment, K12.io shares with Stripe the minimum needed: the purchase amount and currency, the app being bought, your email address for receipts, and — for sellers — the identity and bank details you provide to Stripe directly. Stripe processes this data under its own privacy policy.

4. Disputes

Payment disputes (including chargebacks) are handled through Stripe's dispute process. The outcome of that process controls how the funds move. Licence consequences of a refund are described in the Seller Terms: a full refund deactivates the buyer's licence. If a dispute is lost, the buyer's licence is deactivated, as with a full refund.
